Delete Your Account

You can delete your TAKAS account and the personal data associated with it at any time, using either of the methods below.

Option 1 — In the app (instant)

  1. Open the TAKAS app and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile → Settings.
  3. Under Account, tap Delete Account and confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.

Option 2 — By email

If you can't access the app, email info@takastrade.com from the email address registered to your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will verify your request and delete your account, normally within 30 days.

What is deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove or irreversibly anonymise your personal data, including:

  • your profile (name, username, email, photo, bio, university details);
  • your listings and uploaded images;
  • your messages, offers, watchlist and cart;
  • your student-verification details.

What may be retained

A limited amount of data may be kept, in anonymised or restricted form, only where we are legally required to do so — for example, records of completed transactions kept for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes. Such data is no longer linked to your identity and is deleted once the legal retention period ends.

Payments are processed by Stripe; TAKAS does not store your card details. Stripe retains transaction records under its own policy and applicable law.
